Our action plan is a working document, and so will be updated as decisions are made in SfL Hub meetings.

Autumn 2018

  • Workshop: gesture-controlled musical gloves (6 schools, hosted by Gillespie)

  • Collaborative event: winter physics fair and family science show (8 schools, hosted by Canonbury)

  • CPD: light & sound, electricity (Gillespie)

  • Additional support from Carole: Canonbury SunSpaceArt day, Primary Engineer competition

 Spring 2019

  • Workshop: TBC, possible wildlife drawing (hosted by Gillespie)

  • Collaborative event: young scientists’ conference (6 schools, hosted by IOP)

  • CPD: materials, rocks (Gillespie)

  • Additional support from Carole: NRC PRU inset day

Summer 2019

  • Collaborative events: SEND & PRU animal handling (hosted by Gillespie), animal handling (hosted by Ashmount & Thornhill), plastics workshop (hosted by Pakeman), Great Science Share (hosted by London Metropolitan University)

  • CPD: forces, Earth & space (Gillespie)

  • Additional support from Carole: Girls in Physics sessions pilot (3 secondary schools, hosted by IOP with support from UCL)

 
Whilst the core SfL Hub is made up of primary school, we are keen for secondary school pupils to participate in and help with primary shows, science fairs, and family learning nights
